Energy efficient lights do save you a lot of money on your con ed bill in the long run. They are only a few dollars more expensive but your get the peace of mind that you are helping the environment as well as lowering your bill. I personally changed five lights in my house to the energy efficient lights and in the first month I noticed my bill was twenty two dollars cheaper. I change those light bulbs 6 months ago and I have yet to have to change them since. Almost all energy efficient light bulbs take about 15 to 20 seconds to actually get to there brightest so don't be alarmed if you put one in and it looks dark or like a dingy yellow it just takes a few seconds to warm up but once it does it go as bright as a regular light bulb.
